Mez was born in East Yyasulani initially and spent his first few years under the care of his Mother and Father. Besides him he had an older brother and sister. His eldest sister was a talented alchemist, his brother studied animal science. Compared to them his parents could not find something that Mez excelled at. due to this they elected to 'remove' him from the family, tossing out the young Mez out like trash. Shortly after that event he was found by the current Il Padrino of Diamante Nero and was 'adopted' due to the skill in engineering he showed in attempts to keep himself alive.
After an accident in the engineering lab Mez suffered major injuries causing him to lose both arms and cauterizing several organs. The brilliant light of this event severely damaged his eyes in the process and his survival was tentative at best. Due to the intervention of Nero's medical division he was able to keep his life with significant modifications made to both his body and eyes. While these modifications removed more of the typical 'spoken' aspects of himself it did increase his ability in long range sniping granting him steady hands and superior vision.
DAWNTRAIL SPOILERS
After the dome broke in Heritage Found Mez infiltrated Solution Nine in interest of seeing the oddities to be found within the new addition to Xak Tural's landscape. During this time he has taken an interest in studying Electrope as well as stole a regulator. Despite having a regulator on his person it does not function or utilize any of the typical resurrection abilities.

| Mez is deeply interested in anything mechanical or anything that can power mechanical devices. He has a deep love for the machina that has come out of Ishgard as well as the magitek and biomech that has come from Garlemald. Beyond the obvious Mez has a deep love for coquette fashion despite wearing mostly black leather and high platforms. Additional Mez absolutely adores eating any and all heavily spiced food even though his body does not process it the same as he used to. |

He struggles to associate with people that cannot take a joke nor does he tolerate those that look down on others for not being the same as what is considered 'the normal.' |
